Perfect as a painted shell replacement!! |

When I bought my first two crabs, I chose them because I thought they were cute in their painted shell... little did I know. We got home and started doing research, lots and lots of research.
I just happened to have a few of these shells lying in a tub with other craft supplies so I grabbed them, washed them and offered them to my little pincer friends.
It only took two shakes of a claw for the first one to move in and then a few days for the shyer one to follow. They stayed in these shells for quite a few molt and then upgraded to turbos. I have also provided them to a few of my crab enthusiast friends and they got the same results.
I wanted to share this story because I think it might help other crabbiests with their reluctant painted shells inhabitants.
